Top Cycling Trade Shows in Europe 2016
Updated: Jul 18, 2019
Whether you’re interested in trying out the latest e-bike systems or willing to make new business connections ‒ or both ‒, trade shows and exhibitions represent a valuable opportunity to keep the pace with the ever-changing cycling industry. Here under I gathered my top cycling trade shows that will be held throughout Europe in 2016.
Bikeexpo ‒ Manchester, UK ‒ March 18-20, 2016
The UK loves the 4 in 1! With one ticket you can access the Swim Expo, the Run Expo, the Tri Expo, and of course the Bike Expo. I must admit that these 4 Expos intrigue me. It’s the perfect occasion to plan a trip with friends that, well, don’t go that crazy for bicycles!
FOR BIKES ‒ Prague, Czech Republic ‒ April 1-3, 2016
The biggest cycling trade show in the Czech Republic. Last year it counted more than 30,500 visitors and 243 exhibitors from 8 countries. It sounds like the perfect venue for business that are emerging in the cycling industry and don’t want to be shadowed by the big ones.
ExpoBici ‒ Padova, Italy ‒ April 8-10, 2016
This trade fair is dedicated mainly to testing and shows, putting the consumer at the center of the attention. BMX, MTB, Fat Bike, e-bike + Free Entrance!!! I definitely suggest you to leave your B2B plan at home ‒ just go and have fun!
E — BIKE FESTIVAL ‒ Dortmund, Germany ‒ April 15-17, 2016
The first big event dedicated to e-bikes ever organized in Europe. It seems like they’re going to prove one for all that e-bikes are the future of urban mobility. A trade show to look forward to!
EUROBIKE ‒ Friedrichshafen, Germany ‒ Aug. 31- Sept. 4, 2016
The trade fair to go to. The EUROBIKE attracts visitors and exhibitors from all over the world (30 countries!). It all begins with the DEMO DAY, where visitors and journalists can test the new products that brands have developed for the coming season. In the following days there will be lectures, fashion shows, congresses and much more.
COSMO BIKE Show ‒ Verona, Italy ‒ Sept. 16-19, 2016
Even this show attracts visitors (more than 500,000) and companies (more than 500) from all over the world. Maybe it’s also because of the beautiful, romantic city of Verona. Or because of its 5,600 square meters of show space? This trade show is by all means the biggest cycling show in Italy ‒ don’t miss it, my Italian friends!
And for “a show like no other”:
Like Bike ‒ Monte Carlo ‒ June 3-5, 2016
This video gives a clear idea of what type of trade show we're talking about - wow!
Personally, in 2016 I hope to attend the EUROBIKE and the COSMO BIKE trade shows. Even though the E — BIKE FESTIVAL is very tempting.
What about you?
